Rebecca Apodaca · President/CEO/Appraiser/ Authenticator/Conservator of Musical Instruments
1978 - present

Rebecca has been a technician and player for more than 45 years in Brass, Fretted, Orchestral and Woodwinds. She graduated from the University of California, Irvine in Appraisal Studies for Fine & Decorative Art, and is a Certified Musical Instrument Appraiser. She is a Candidate Member of the American Society of Appraisers. She has a Degree in Music as well as a State Certified Musical Instrument Repair Technician and is a member of NAPBIRT. Her specialty is Vintage musical instrument restoration and is responsible for the preparation of 400 instruments for the opening of NAMM's Making of Music Museum. Of Navajo/Mexican decent, born in Los Angeles, Rebecca shares her culture through music by playing bass, guitar, ukulele and vocals professionally. She started her career at 7 years old by learning classical guitar and restringing guitars in a very musical family. She creates Musical Instrument Artworks out of non-playable instruments for individuals, galleries and showrooms.

Micaela Apodaca Davis · Vice President

Micaela performs on Double Bass, Electric Bass guitar, flute, vocals, tenor sax and mallets from elementary school and into high school marching and Jazz band. Mica will answer all of your questions from how to increase range on a trombone to school band class in "Matters of Music with Mica".

Micaela holds a Bachelors of Arts in Music from the University of California, Irvine. She teaches privately and currently is the Instrumental Music Director at St. Anne's School in Laguna Niguel, CA. She plans on continuing her education in Film Scoring. Mica has performed with recording artist David Benoit, Saddleback Wind Ensemble, Claremont Symphony, The South Coast Symphony, The Fullerton Symphonic Winds, Laguna Beach Community Band, and Wind Ensemble creator, Frederick Fennel. She had her Conducting Debut in 2001. She is the Marching Bass player for N.A.M.M.'s Ferdinand L. Petiot Band and has worked with such greats as Jeff "Skunk" Baxter, Bobby Shew, Big Bird, Larry Linkin and Elmo.

A & D Music was opened in 1978 as a Rental, Repair, Sales and Service oriented business that serves the local needs of South Orange County, California. We have expanded into national as well as International Business. We have been recognized with featured news articles "Home Show" on ABC; The Los Angeles Times; The Orange County Register; the Orange County News Station; Saddleback Valley News; Cox Television; Music Inc., KFWB Radio, KNX Radio, Music Sound Retailer, N.A.M.M. Playback.

We have online rentals available in South Orange County only. The instruments are in used condition, but have been maintained by our repair facility and all are in good shape. All instruments are sterilized. We give 9 months of full rental credit toward the purchase of either this instrument or any other instrument.

The A & D Music repair shop is one of the best in the world. We have specialized in Vintage and International Musical Instrument Restoration. We repair woodwinds, brass, orchestral, fretted and percussion instruments. We repair everything except pianos. We have worked on 300 year old harps, 150 year old flutes, Japanese Biwa's, Middle Eastern Ouds, a 1846 Martin Guitar, Czechoslovakian Tambouritza's as well as complete restorations on various Vintage 1940- 1960's Classic Guitars.
