It is extremely important to keep good and
regular maintenance practice with your musical instrument. This will help to avoid unnecessary repairs and damage and will keep
the instrument playing for years.

- Instrument should be swabbed inside after every use. (drop metal weight in top of instrument, pull out through the bell, repeat twice)
- Mouthpiece should be scrubbed with mouthpiece brush & dishsoap on a weekly basis.
- Cork grease should be applied to neck cork weekly.
- Replace and plug before placing sax in case to protect octave mechanism.
- DO NOT CARRY INSTRUMENT IN TRUNK OF CAR!
- DO NOT EXPOSE TO EXTREMES IN TEMPERATURE!

- This instrument should be cleaned a minimum of once a week, with polish applied to a clean cloth and wipe down the instrument. Another clean cloth should be carried in the instrument case to wipe down the fingerboard after every use to keep the longevity of the strings. Rosin should be applied to bow hair before every use.
- Tighten bow 3 turns before playing, loosing bow 3 turns when putting away.
- Let your teacher or a qualified technician tune or replace strings.

- DO NOT EXPOSE TO EXTREMES IN TEMPERATURE!

- Instrument should be disassembled & scrubbed out with warm water & dish soap on a monthly basis using the "snake" to scrub inside the tubing, slide & piston. Then rinse with water & dry with a soft cloth. Slides should be regreased with vaseline & re-oil valves.
- The pistons are numbered "1, 2, 3" & must be put back with #1 closest to mouthpiece.Turn top button until it stops and sticks.
- Scrub mouthpiece with mouthpiece brush & dish soap once a week.
- DO NOT CARRY INSTRUMENT IN TRUNK OF CAR!
- DO NOT EXPOSE TO EXTREMES IN TEMPERATURE!

- Polish weekly. Wipe fingerboard and strings after every use with second cloth.
- Use Dr. Ducks axe wax once a month to clean fingerboard and deep clean guitar body.
- One drop in each machine head once a month helps too.
- DO NOT CARRY INSTRUMENT IN TRUNK OF CAR!
- DO NOT EXPOSE TO EXTREMES IN TEMPERATURE!

- Rinse mouth before playing.

- Polish the guitar weekly with a light polish like Martin Guitar Polish. Wipe the Fingerboard and strings after every use. Use Dr. Duck's axe wax on fingerboardrub each fret with the grain using a paper towel then wipe all excess oil add 1 drop in machine heads once a month Use the clippers to cut off excess guitar string length at head stock.
